This painting was truly inspired. It was an idea I had in the back of my mind for days until I sat down with it and started to let it out on to the canvas. There are four different side profile faces within the branches to signify the presence of the ancestors of the four directions in all things.
Crows are the 'tricksters' of the Native Culture. One can easily be fooled into learning with 'Crow Medicine' and they are also considered messengers of the spirit world.
