The Diva Di
This is a painting of my mother. Her nickname is "The Diva Di " and this is my representation of her.
She really appreciates the finer things in life and loves to adorn herself in the latest styles, accessories and what we refer to in the clothing industry as "bling" (Rhinestones, studs, glitter on clothing).
She is a lover of Art Deco style artworks so I thought it appropriate to paint her in her favorite style with a background of her favorite animal print: leopard.
Her pants, belt, rings, and earrings are actual rhinestones that were applied to the painting for a more dramatic flare.
